FAQ About Deliveries

How are delivery fees calculated?

Our delivery fees are based on the size of your order, measured in crates. Each crate contains 10 - 12 bags of bread. The goal is simple: keep small deliveries accessible while making larger deliveries more cost-efficient.

Why is there a minimum fee?

Every delivery, no matter how small, still involves fuel, a driver, and coordination. A small base fee helps cover these real costs while keeping the service sustainable.

Do larger orders cost more?

Yes, but the cost per crate actually goes down as your order increases.

This means bigger deliveries offer better value.

Is there a maximum delivery fee?

Yes. Once your order reaches a larger size, the delivery fee is capped, so you won’t be overcharged.

What happens for very large deliveries?

For deliveries beyond the standard capacity, a simple per-crate rate applies. This keeps pricing fair and consistent, no matter how large the order.

Why is the pricing structured this way?

Because delivery costs don’t scale evenly:

  • Small runs are less efficient (higher cost per crate)

  • Larger runs are more efficient (lower cost per crate)

We’ve designed our pricing to reflect this — fair for you, and sustainable for the service.

Do all clients pay a delivery fee?

Delivery fees only apply where agreed. Some partner organisations may have different arrangements.
